Installing

1. 1Open Redock.dmg and drag Redock into your Applications folder.
2. 2The first time you open it, macOS will say it cannot verify the developer. Go to System Settings, then Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom and click Open Anyway.
3. 3Redock will ask for Accessibility permission. It needs this to move windows belonging to other apps, and it cannot work without it.

That second step exists because Redock is not yet notarised by Apple. It is a one-time step, and the warning is about the absence of a certificate, not about anything found in the app.

What's new in 1.8

• The installer window now shows what to do, including the step everyone missed: open Redock from Applications, not from the disk image
• Redock refuses to run from the disk image rather than starting up and quietly failing later, which is what made window snapping look broken
• If you already dragged Redock to Applications, it offers to open that copy for you
• In 1.7: Redock updates itself, so you no longer download and reinstall by hand
