Floodtide for Teams
One key that updates every Mac you look after, from 5 to 500. Paid yearly per Mac, with the Tide included, an invoice from Stripe for your accounts team, and a developer who answers the email himself.
Updated 13 October 2026
Who it is for
An office, a studio, a school or an agency with 5 to 500 Macs, where somebody is responsible for keeping the apps on them current and would rather not visit each one. With an MDM or without: Floodtide reads each app’s own update source on the Mac it runs on, so it needs no server of yours and no agent beyond itself.
Up to 10 Macs, the ten-Mac licence is cheaper and paid once. From 5 Macs up, this is the one to buy: one key, one yearly invoice, and a seat count you set yourself.
What you get
- One key for all your Macs. Enter the same key on each Mac; it activates up to the number of seats you bought.
- Every Mac in Manage Your Macs. Each activated Mac shows on your account page, where a sold or erased Mac can be released so its seat comes back.
- The Tide included. While the subscription is active, every Mac on the key has the Tide: the apps I research by hand each week, your coverage requests first, and newer-version notes for apps with no update source.
- Email support from the developer. Write to raf@bhopstudio.com and I answer it myself.
- An invoice with your VAT number and purchase order. Stripe emails the invoice for every payment, with the billing address and VAT number you give at checkout and the purchase order number you type there.
- Cancel any time. The subscription ends with the year already paid and nothing more is charged.
- A plain lapse rule. While the subscription is active, every Mac on the key installs updates. If it ends, the key stays valid for 30 more days; then installing stops and scanning stays free on every Mac.
The price
Prefer a quote or a purchase order first? Email raf@bhopstudio.com with the number of Macs and I reply with a quote you can raise an order against.
Schools, colleges and universities pay 40% less. Email raf@bhopstudio.com from your institution’s address and I send you the code to enter at checkout.
Questions before buying
Do we get an invoice, and does it show our VAT number?
Yes. Stripe emails the invoice for every payment, the first and each renewal. Checkout asks for your billing address and VAT number and prints both on it. The purchase order number you type at checkout is kept on your billing record and printed on your invoices, and your key email repeats it. The seller on the invoice is Bhop Studio, the trading name of the developer.
What happens if we stop paying?
Nothing sudden. While the subscription is active, every Mac on the key installs updates. When it ends, the key stays valid for 30 more days, so a missed renewal never stops a fleet overnight. After that, installing stops and scanning stays free: every Mac still sees what is out of date, and the apps can be updated by hand. Subscribe again and the same key starts installing again.
Do we need an MDM?
No. Floodtide for Teams works on 5 to 500 Macs with or without one. Floodtide reads each app's own update source on the Mac it runs on, so there is no server to run and no agent to deploy beyond the app itself. With an MDM you can push the app as you push any DMG today; the key is still entered once per Mac.
Can we deploy it silently?
Not yet. Today Floodtide ships as a DMG: drag it to Applications and enter the key once on each Mac, which takes about a minute. A signed PKG for MDM deployment, with the key preloaded, is the next piece of work for Teams and is not available today. If that is what you need before you buy, email raf@bhopstudio.com and I will tell you where it stands.
Can we add Macs later?
Yes. Email raf@bhopstudio.com with your key and the new number of Macs; I change the seat count on the key and on the subscription, and Stripe bills the difference for the rest of the year. Fewer Macs at renewal works the same way.
Is there education pricing?
Yes. Schools, colleges and universities pay 40% less for Floodtide for Teams. Email raf@bhopstudio.com from your institution's address and I send you the code to enter at checkout.
Can we try it first?
Yes. The 14-day trial is free on any Mac, with no card and no account. Install it on a few of your Macs and see which of your apps it covers before you buy a fleet key.
How do we cancel?
Reply to any invoice email or write to raf@bhopstudio.com; the subscription ends with the year already paid and nothing more is charged. Within 14 days of any payment you can also have it refunded in full, no questions asked.
