What the licence covers
One purchase unlocks installing on 3 Macs at once. Scanning, the coverage list and the version comparison are free forever on any number of Macs, because an updater that will not tell you what is out of date until you pay is not telling you anything useful. Paying unlocks the part that writes to your Applications folder.
Seats are not tied to specific hardware. Deactivate a Mac you no longer use, from inside Floodtide or from your account page, and the seat is immediately available again.
What happens after you pay
Payment goes through Stripe, so card details never touch this site. When it clears you land back here on a page showing your licence key, and the same key arrives by email. If the email goes astray you can have it sent again at any time.
Before you buy
Check your own apps first. The coverage chart is searchable and honest about what Floodtide cannot handle, including why DaVinci Resolve is not on it. If the apps that matter to you are not covered, the trial will show you that in a minute and you should not buy.

Questions before buying
Is this a subscription?
No. $14.99 is paid once and the licence is yours, including every 1.x update; if there is ever a 2.0 it is half price for people who already own one. Nothing renews and nothing is billed twice.
What is the ten-Mac licence?
The same licence, activating on 10 Macs instead of 3, for $27.99 paid once. It is meant for a household, a studio or a small team, and it is cheaper than two of the $14.99 licences. There is no per-seat fee and no renewal on it either.
Can I buy Floodtide for a business?
Yes. Up to 10 Macs, the ten-Mac licence is the quickest way and you can buy it here. For more Macs than that, or anything else a company needs before it can buy, email raf@bhopstudio.com and say how many Macs you want covered.
What does "3 Macs" mean?
One licence activates Floodtide on 3 Macs at the same time. They do not have to be bought together or set up at once. If you replace a Mac, deactivate it from inside Floodtide or from your account page and the seat comes straight back.
What happens after I pay?
Stripe takes the payment and sends you back to a page showing your licence key immediately. The same key is emailed to the address you paid with. Paste it into Floodtide under Preferences, and the trial banner disappears.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes, and you should. The download runs a 14-day trial with everything unlocked, no card and no account. After 14 days Floodtide keeps scanning and telling you what is out of date for free, and only the installing locks.
What if I want a refund?
Email raf@bhopstudio.com within 14 days of buying and the payment goes back through Stripe. The 14-day trial is there so that you can find out whether Floodtide covers your apps before any money changes hands.
Do I have to make an account?
Only if you want one. The licence key works on its own. An account exists so you can see which Macs are activated and move a seat, and you can make it later with the email you bought with.
